This is the Rental Agreement Schedule referred to in the Defence Living Terms and Conditions as the Rental Agreement. The Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement and this Schedule form the Agreement between us. This Schedule contains important information including financial information about your Rental Agreement.

General Information About the Lease

Delivery and InstallationThere is no delivery and or installation costs provided the delivery and or installation is in an Approved Defence Posting Location.
Drop OffAt no charge to you, we will collect the goods from the address above in an Approved Defence Posting Location (or your new address in an Approved Defence Posting Location as advised to us if you are posted to a different location). Otherwise, you are responsible and liable to deliver the Leased Goods to our Drop Off Location.
TerminationOne month's written notice
Damage WaiverUnder the lease agreement you must have a contents insurance policy that will cover the Leased Goods or take our Damage Waiver. By paying the damage waiver fee as set out in this Schedule, you limit the amount you have to compensate us in event of damage to the lease goods as a result of theft or fire only. Note - there are restrictions on this cover.
OwnershipThe goods are leased to you under a continuing lease. We retain ownership of the goods at all times no exceptions. You do however retain the right to make an offer to purchase the goods at any time.
PrivacyWe will protect your personal and financial information from any harm. You can amend our records at any time if you find that the information we hold is inaccurate
Manufacturer's instructions/ManualWe will provide you with the manufacturer's instructions/manuals with respect to the Leased Goods (if relevant) which you must abide by.as to not to void the manufacturer's warranty. You will be liable for repairs if you breached the manufacturer's instructions./manual

Please note that your application will be streamlined through our application process if this information is correct and your email includes an offical '@defence.gov.au' email address. If for any reason you are unable to provide this information digitally please email documents@defenceliving.com.au

If all documents are available and your application has been filled out correctly you will be sent a deposit payment and direct debit authority and once received your items will be ordered / shipped to your address. As per our rental agreement you will be automatically billed on the selected basis until you are finished renting and ready to return your items.

The next step is to provide a copy of your 90 day bank statement and MYGOV data. Apart from being a legal requirement, without this information we are unable to verify your affordability, suitability, identity and income. Please note that your application will be streamlined through our application process if this information is included. If for any reason you are unable to provide this information digitally please email documents@rentsmarte.com.au

If, all documents are available and your application is approved you will be sent a deposit payment and direct debit authority and once received your items will be ordered / shipped to your address. As per our rental agreement you will be automatically billed on the selected basis until you are finished renting and ready to return your items.

Before You Begin

Before you get started you will need to make sure you have a few things ready to upload.
You will need:
Photo ID with your current address
You will be able to submit Three months Bank Statements, Centrelink Statement (if you a Centrelink payment) and your Medicare details at the end of the application electronically

What's next

You're almost there, once you submit your application, you will be directed to the bank statement page where you can submit your bank statement, Centrelink statement (if you receive benefits) and Medicare details electronically. Your application CANNOT proceed without these.
Once you have submitted your application, we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. Once approved, you will be sent a deposit payment and direct debit authority and once we have received these, your items will be shipped.
